A big thank you to Cornwall for traveling over to play us and congratulations on your performance.
For North Harbour, there were some very good individual performances and we came close in two of the matches. I was pleased to see you enjoying your cricket.
A noticeable difference across the games was the standard of fielding. A large parting of fielding comes down to your attitude. We need to be positive, committed and be ready for every ball. We need to learn to anticipate (ie guess) where the ball is going to go to based upon the type of ball that is bowled and the type of shot the batsman is playing. By focusing on every ball and being ready for it then we are going to pick up the catches we missed today, the run-out's we missed, stop the singles, and not let the ball through us to the boundary. Take this away from the matches today boys and learn from it.
Finally thanks to those who contributed to the day including the coaches, umpires, scorers and anyone else who helped out.
Given some of the disruptions we've had, we are looking at having three fixtures in the New Year, beginning in February. See you then.
